Just paid for the Pro and my site is https. The the thumbnail displayed is pulling from http. There doesn’t seem to be a way around the issue other than to utilize an old version of the KGVID shortcode and use “poster” element.
[KGVID poster=”//papayainternet.com/wp-content/uploads/Papaya-Internet-Intro_thumb22.jpg” width=”480″ height=”270″]//papayainternet.com/wp-content/uploads/Papaya-Internet-Intro.mp4[/KGVID]
https://papayainternet.com is my site.
“an old version of the KGVID shortcode”
I never heard of any KGVID shortcode. ARVE supports custom shortcodes for providers that are directly supported for backwards compatibility. ARVE never supported any shortcode wrapping [example]was never supported[/example] and supports also did never supported any poster, width or height parameters so its seems you talk about another plugin.
If you want to embed a self hosted video with arve, this feature is new and experimental and was never advertised.
You can do so like this
[arve url="https://papayainternet.com/wp-content/uploads/Papaya-Internet-Intro.mp4" thumbnail="https://papayainternet.com/wp-content/uploads/Papaya-Internet-Intro_thumb22.jpg"]
