Missing field “thumbnailUrl” and other mistakes from Google Search Console

Tried with default theme: Yes

Tried with all other plugins disabled: No

Browser version: Chrome 100.0.4896.88

Hi,

I’m experiencing this errors on Google Search Console:
– Missing field “thumbnailUrl”
– Missing field “uploadDate”
– Missing field “description”
– Missing field “name”

The error occurs on every page where I embed the YouTube videos.

How can I fix this?

You need to fill in the data manually using the Block or shortcodes or you can purchase ARVE Pro and have it autofilled in. You can also disable the SEO data completely in the ARVE settings to have the errors go away, but you loose SEO benefits.

Hi Nico,

We licensed, installed, and enabled the Pro add on yesterday, and this morning search console alerted us to 50 instances of Missing field “thumbnailUrl”, do you have any recommendations on how that can be resolved without having to manually update the short code. Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you still have this issue? It may take some time for search engines to recrawl your site and update the information. Otherwise, note that thumbnails can only obtain from some major hosts like YouTube, not every host.
